Description
David Kermode reports on reaction following the murder of Richard Everitt. The fifteen year old white boy’s killing in Camden in North London (13/08/94) has sparked fears among police and community workers of a rise in racial tension in the area. A gang of young people - believed to be Asian - is thought to be responsible. Now the Guardian Angels vigilante group is patrolling the area. Includes statements by Lynda Newman, Chief Superintendent responsible for community policing in Kentish Town; Colin Hatcher, Guardian Angels. For Drivetime show.
