Eve Conway reports on the discovered remains of the Elizabethan Rose Theatre. Site manager and archaeologist Simon Blatherwick on the importance of the remains for their literary connections with Shakespeare and Marlowe, and arguing that they will be damaged by developers’ plans to backfill the site.
