Description
The European ban on British beef over BSE fears has been lifted. EC ministers meeting in Brussels thrashed out an agreement after 26 hours of talks. France, West Germany and Italy will put our beef back on the menu as long as Britain introduces tougher meat controls. EC agriculture commissioner Ray MacSharry says the deal has defused a political tinder box. Male interviewer not identified.
