- Description
- Marc de Leuw reports on a security alert near Downing Street in London at 6.30am this morning when Birmingham lorry driver Dennis Wadsworth left his vehicle parked in Whitehall just across the road from the Prime Minister’s residence after running out of petrol. The lorry was just yards from where the IRA launched a mortar bomb attack on Downing Street in 1991. The lorry was destroyed in a controlled explosion by Scotland Yard’s anti-terrorist squad. Includes Dennis Wadsworth’s reaction; unidentified male refuse collector interview (brought in to clear up debris).
