US correspondent Paul Woodley reports on reaction to US President Bill Clinton’s announcement Cuban refugees will no longer be automatically entitled to residence in the United States, overturning a thirty year-old open-door policy to refugees fleeing Fidel Castro’s communist regime. Hundreds of Cubans are still heading to the US by boat undeterred by the decision, with Florida often first landfall.
