Description
Len Murray, General Secretary of the TUC, responds to Denis Healey’s 1978 Budget. He states his view that the Chancellor has got his general priorities right, although the biggest question mark lies over unemployment - the TUC had been hoping for a bigger boost for industry. The reduced rate band, and increases to Child Benefit and pensions are generally good, although more could have been done. Male interviewer not identified.
