- Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has today been given the freedom of the City of London. At a glittering ceremony at the Guildhall, Thatcher received the honour, which means she can now drive sheep across London Bridge, among other ancient and classical privileges. Thatcher gives a speech on Britain’s strength and determination to defend itself and others against tyranny.
