- Within the last couple of hours, the first US troops have started to arrive in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince in helicopters at the civilian airport to secure a landing place for the battalions to follow. In Washington, President Bill Clinton and former President Jimmy Carter have been talking about how this agreement was reached and what happens next.
