- It is alleged today British Airways granted favours to Metropolitan Police officers stationed at Heathrow Airport. Journalist Paul Foot reports in Private Eye magazine officers have received discounts and upgrades for BA flights from Heathrow. The claims are the latest in the long battle between former Scotland Yard Anti-Terrorist Branch detective John Gorman, British Airways and the Metropolitan Police over an alleged campaign of dirty tricks by BA against him.
