Description

The final section of the Skye toll bridge will be lowered into place today, joining the island to the Scottish mainland for the first time. The bridge is expected to bring more tourists to the island and boost the local economy, but it will mean the end of the Skye ferry. Passengers say they’ll be upset to see the end of the ferry service.
