Description

Jill Lourie reports on the first day of a mass picket to support a labour dispute of 10 months at the Grunwick factory. Chris Wright from union APEX describes the intimidatory actions of police, and strike leader Jayaben Desai airs the workers’ grievances. Many workers are recent migrants from East Africa and unaware of employee rights in Britain.
