- Peter Sharp reports on the arrest of Arthur Scargill, miners’ union leader, at the Grunwick factory mass picket. Violence is increasing at the pickets and there is criticism of police action particularly by special patrols. Speaks to Tom Conway, lecturer at Willesden College, who was manhandled by police as he tried to help students into the college to do exams, and Eldon Griffiths MP, on effects on law and order in London.
