- Report by Vernon McMillan on the three judges of the Appeal Court overturning Lord Widgery’s ruling and pronouncing the ACAS report null and void as it had not consulted workers in the case of the Grunwick factory dispute. They also criticised factory owner George Ward for being obstructive. ACAS and union APEX granted right to appeal to House of Lords.
