Description

Foreign Secretary, Douglas Hurd has announced that the Kuwaiti Government is paying for a major part of the British and the US military effort in the Gulf. Hurd, who says the possibility of a demilitarised or exclusion zone in the south of Iraq is being considered, is in Kuwait to meet members of the Gulf Co-operation Council and his US opposite number Warren Christopher.
