Description
Nick Wood reports on a rally by health workers in Hyde Park yesterday to protest at the Government’s pay policy. Whistling and speeches heard in background. The Government has offered them a pay rise of between one and three per cent that can only be negotiated at a local level. This is something the unions are bitterly opposed to and strikes may follow. The speakers include: Avis Gilmore, Chartered Society of Physiotherapists; UNISON General Secretary, Alan Jinkinson; Ann Picking ward sister; Bill Morris of TGWU.
