There is a tense but calm atmosphere in the Chinese capital, but there are fears that the fighting could escalate into civil war with troops supporting the students marching on the city. Peking correspondent Jonathan Annells says those who took part in the massacre are apparently preparing for a clash with other soldiers. Richard Dallyn is in the studio.
