- Description
- Labour leader Neil Kinnock was in Paris yesterday, speaking at a rally of socialists from all over Europe ahead of the European elections. He used his speech to highlight the divides in the Conservative Party and to place the Labour Party firmly behind the idea of a social charter for a single market. Kinnock put down Denzil Davies, the former Labour Defence spokesman, who had criticised him. France correspondent Tim Marshall was in Paris to cover the rally.
