- Description
- A former Home Office minister is urging the Government not to make any concessions to allow British passport holders in Hong Kong to settle in Britain. Timothy Raison, who was the minister responsible for the 1981 Nationality Act, says the troubles in China should not mean that the people of Hong Kong are also under threat. He denies that Britain or its European allies have any obligation to British passport holders, and is warning the Government against making promises it cannot keep. Interviewer is Elena Curti.
