Description
Rail workers have voted for industrial action on both British Rail and the Underground. The National Union of Railmen (NUR) held three separate ballots for its members. They voted nearly two to one in favour of a national overtime ban on BR, narrowly supported twenty-four hour strikes on the railways and overwhelmingly suported the call to make the unofficial strike action on the tube official. NUR General Secretary Jimmy Knapp says he’s delighted with the response from the membership. (Scottish) female interviewer not identified.
