- One of the two remaining survivors of HMS Hood, sunk by the German warship Bismarck, says the wreck of the mammoth German vessel should be left where it lies. The Bismarck has been discovered by the US research team which found the Titanic. Ted Briggs from Hampshire, who survived a torpedeo attack on the Hood, says the war graves should be respected.
