Garage mechanic Mark Stewart heard the explosion of the bomb that ripped through Conservative MP for Eastbourne, Ian Gow’s car, and ran around the corner to find out what had happened. He describes the scene awaiting him at the MP’s house. He had been told Mr Gow was still alive at that point, but critically injured. Male interviewer not identified.
