- Description
- A fire has broken out in the Deptford warehouse which held news reels belonging to News International. Bruce Matthews, Managing Director of the company, is suspicious as to the cause of the fire, and believes that a sacked protester may have been involved. He believes the proposed settlement is more than fair, but some people may not consider it such a good offer. Brian Butler of the London Fire Service describes the magnitude of the fire and the damage caused. Police are appealing for witnesses and Chief Superintendent of Wapping Police, Brian Morris appeals for anyone with information to come forward. Female reporter not identified.
