Description
Report on the first ever successful attempt at pedal-powered flight across the English Channel by the Gossamer Albatross, designed by Paul McCready and his associates, and piloted by cyclist Brian Allen. The 22 mile crossing took 2 hours and 49 minutes in headwind on 12 June 1979. Brian Allen and Paul McCready comment.
