Description

A summit between UK Prime Minister John Major and the Irish Premier, John Bruton, has been called off this evening, less than twenty-four hours before the meeting was due to start. The summit was called to instigate proposals for the establishment of an international convention to oversee the decommissioning of IRA arms.
