Description

Nato airstrikes against the Bosnian Serbs have been put on stand by for seventy two hours. It follows an agreement by the Serbs that they’ll pull their heavy weapons back from Sarajevo. United States peace envoy Richard Holbrooke has just met Bosnia’s President Alija Izetbegovic in Mostar. He says Sarajevo must be freed before progress can be made.
