Description

Speech by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Robert Runcie, on the hostages being held in Lebanon. He says he is glad for the release of Brian Keenan, and that he (Keenan) was able to bring news of Terry Waite, and that Iran holds the key to progress on Waite’s release. He also speaks of the Iranians’ and Syrians’ role, how the British Government has made efforts to bring about the release of the hostages, and how he hopes that progress will continue.
