Newly-appointed leader of the Social and Liberal Democrats (SLDP), Paddy Ashdown discusses the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Dr David Owen. He says Owen has nothing but bravado left and that his suggestion that the SDLP should not run against his party in Richmond as breathtaking cheek which would only help the Conservatives get re-elected. He also comments on reports that Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher is attempting to block his title of Privy Counsellorship, saying that he is very flattered that Thatcher considers him a danger.
