- Report on the recording made by an amateur radio enthusiast on the night of the Penlee lifeboat disaster (19/12/81), when the Penlee lifeboat went to the aid of the stricken coaster Union Star in heavy seas. Both vessels were lost with all hands, leaving 16 dead, 8 from each vessel. Includes excerpts of recorded exchanges including one between the Union Star (skipper Henry (Mick) Morton) and Land’s End Coastguard. Male reporter not identified.
