Description

Simon Israel interviews John Ward, outside the court room in Nairobi, Kenya, following the proceedings of a murder investigation into the death of his daughter Julie Ward in the Masai Mara game reserve in 1988. The Kenyan authorities have always publicly maintained that Julie was killed in the wild by animals, but giving evidence, a game warden admitted that he had been questioned as a murder suspect, though he was not charged. The evidence came as a surprise to John Ward.
