Description
George Matheson reports on the twentieth anniversary of British troops being posted to Northern Ireland to quell the growing violence between the Catholic and Protestant communities (14/08/69). After a night of rioting in Derry, calm has returned to the streets, disturbed only by the arrest of NORAID leader, Martin Galvin. The leader of the American-based Republican fund raising group was detained for breaking a Home Office order of 1984, excluding him from the UK. Includes quotes by Martin Galvin read by George Matheson.
