- Description
- Doctor Connie Smith from the Family Planning Association on the health warnings by the government’s Committee on the Safety of Medecine yesterday that seven brands of the contraceptive pill pose a higher than normal risk of thrombosis. She confirms the advice is not to stop using them but to go to their doctors and argues the flood of telephone enquiries to the FPA are from women responding to that advice and not a sign of panic. The FPA is more concerned about those who are not telephoning and may be stopping the pill and risking pregnancy. Female interviewer not identified.
