- Steve Jones interviews jockey, Bob Champion, who survived cancer and went on to win the 1981 Grand National on Aldaniti. Champion speaks about the Bob Champion Cancer Trust and racing. Ahead of a charity polo game featuring John Francombe, Stuart Copeland from pop group, The Police and Liza Goddard, Bob speaks about fellow jockey Jonjo O’Neil who has also been diagnosed with cancer, and also the film of his life, Champion, in which he is played by John Hurt. He discusses training horses, the racecourses, Aintree, Sefton and Ascot and the temperament of those horses he has ridden who have gone on to win Nationals â Ragtrade, Highland Wedding and Rub Stick.
