Description
Simon Israel reports on the announcement by Transport Secretary, Cecil Parkinson, of new legislation after the sinking of the Marchioness pleasure boat following a collision with the dredger, Bowbelle, on the River Thames in London (20/08/89). The Port of London Authority will also look at safety improvements. 51 of the 130 passengers died in the tragedy. Broadcast on either 20th or 21st.
