Paul Rowley interviews Social and Liberal Democrats leader, Paddy Ashdown, about a call for the Government to overhaul its financial strategy amid further indications that the economy is slowing down. The latest survey by the CBI, forecasts inflation will remain high, unemployment increase, and factory prices continue to rise. Shadow Trade Secretary, Bryan Gould, says the economy is on the brink of recession and he’s accusing Chancellor Nigel Lawson of mismanagement. But Ashdown says it would be worse under a Labour government.
