Maria Duarte reports on the arrest of the fugitive Brian Newcombe (alias David Kerr). He was detained at a guest house in Mansfield and is now being interviewed after an officer spotted a car which police had been alerted to look out for. Newcombe, of Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, is wanted in connection with the murders of Jack Shuttleworth, a pensioner, in North Yorkshire and Margaret McOnie, a widow, in Glasgow. Includes interview with Detective Superintendent Ian Peacock. Broadcast on Pennine Radio.
