Description
David Johnston reports on the mystery appearance of three tigers in a cage at the side of a Scottish road. A Lothian and Borders police patrol discovered the tigers in a large trailer in a lay-by on a the A72 between Peebles and Innerleithen. Includes appeal by Chief Inspector Jim Scott for the owners to come forward; interview with Spuggy the Clown, from the Circus Fiesta, which had stopped when the trailer broke down and left the animals behind. The tigers had been performing in Selkirk, and were said by their owners to have been resting from their labours before the next engagement.
