Description

Ted Rowlands, UK Minister of State for Africa, on the agreement to move towards black majority rule in Rhodesia within 2 years and end guerilla warfare. He is optimistic following a reasonably positive response to the agreement from black leaders in Rhodesia and acceptance by Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith and says the UK has been asked to chair a conference to agree an interim government.
