- Description
- Nick Peters reports from Washington DC where the United States is moving to breathe new life into the international alliance against Iraq, following a lull during which President George H.W. Bush was almost totally preoccupied with domestic affairs. Efforts have been made to encourage the UN security council to agree resolutions against Iraq, together with a renewed embrace of Jordan, with economic and military aid to King Hussein being restored by the US. Includes statements by Secretary of State James Baker and President George Bush.
