Description
Margaret Shiels interviews the co-chairman of Eurotunnel, Alastair Morton, about the costs of building the Channel Tunnel which have soared to seven billion pounds. The projected increase is down to dearer rolling stock, and the fact that tunnelling is costing more than estimated, but Morton says the main reason for the rise is the lump sum contract which accounts for one-third of the whole project.
