Report on Edwina Currie’s claims that British eggs are contaminated with salmonella. Britain’s farmers want the junior health minister sacked. Simon Gourlay, President of the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), has demanded her sacking by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, whilst John Coles of the egg industry may sue.
