- Police solicitor Brian Spoor speaks to reporters following the verdict of misadventure at the inquiry into the death of amateur boxer Liddle Towers. Liddle’s mother, Mary Towers, and sister, Marion Towers, both give their reactions to the verdict as does the Reverend Ralph Bell, chairman of the Liddle Towers Action Committee. Geoff Dunn of the Police Federation says he was pleased with the verdict. Liddle Towers died after spending a night in Northumbria Police cells. Male reporter not identified.
