Vanessa Black (not heard) interviews Falklands war veteran Simon Weston about a pioneering new technique in plastic surgery that will give new hope for burns victims in the future. The new technique, in which skin tissue is transplanted from a patient who’s died, has been used to save a two-year old girl’s life (Ferrial Sayed from Southall, London). He says the new process could signal the beginning of even more radical research over the next few years. For Billboard programme.
