Margaret Shiels interviews Superintendent Leslie Bennett, head of the Obscene Publications Squad, on Britain’s first special police unit to deal with child pornography and paedophilia which has been set up at Scotland Yard in London. The unit will collate information on convicted men, suspects and associates throughout the country. It’s being hailed as a step towards a national index that could help prevent child molesters and pornographers getting jobs relating to children.
