Former junior industry minister, Les Huckfield has decided to contest the seat of Knowsley North, and is now the subject of an inquiry by Labour’s National Executive Committee. He says that Knowsley North’s freedom of choice has been repeatedly infringed. Constituency executive officer Dave Care says there has been blatant interference.
