- Archive recording. An unidentified male reporter is aboard the inaugural flight (04/10/58) of the first regular transatlantic jet service from London to New York under British firm BOAC. He speaks to some of the passengers including 22 year-old Brian Barnett who won his seat on the BOAC Comet 4 jet liner through a national newspaper competition; singer/songwriter Hal Halifax(?) who gives a rendition of his song inspired by the flight; Commander Edward Whitehead(?). Audio level low and some squeaking noises.
