- Interview with British Rail Chairman Sir Robert Basil (Bob) Reid, following the publication of the report from the inquiry into the Clapham rail disaster. The report on the train crash, which killed 35 and injured 113 others, says BR allowed safety standards to fall to dangerous and unacceptable levels. Reid says British Rail accepts the findings of the inquiry headed by Sir Anthony Hidden and the company has already taken steps to to ensure the tragedy will never be repeated. He also says he would not be reconsidering his position. Male interviewer not identified.
