US Secretary of State James Baker statement to press after a 2 day meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels. The meeting covered developing a cooperative Western Europe defence strategy; threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait and their response to it- the UN resolution for complete withdrawal by January 15th must be complied with; reform in the USSR and Eastern Europe.
