Description
Report on Israel’s bombing of the Osirak nuclear installation in Iraq. Includes background of a previous attack at La Seyne Sur Mer, near Toulon, France, in 1979, when components for the reactors were destroyed. French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean Francois Poncet said the reactors could only be used for peaceful purposes but concerns mounted when Iraq signed a parallel agreement with Italy regarding the supply of plutonium research laboratories. Engineers involved in the project have also been attacked or assassinated. Israeli involvement has been strongly suspected. Male reporter not identified.
