Description

Nicky Broyd reports from Prague on a general strike which has been called in Czechoslovakia to protest against the communist system. The pro-democracy group, Civic Forum is asking people to stop work for two hours in a united show of strength. The Prime Minister, Ladislav Adamec, has urged people to strike for just a few minutes as a token gesture, but his appeal was dismissed by protesters. Includes vox pop with demonstrators. Broadcast on the Brian Widlake breakfast programme.
