Simon Bowden reports on the death of a north London man who waited forty minutes for medical help – even though a fully-manned ambulance station was only five minutes from his home. 35 year-old Clifford James collapsed with an asthma attack in Stanmore - but the emergency call was put through to Hampstead police station, twelve miles away.
